A trio worked in unison recently to distract a staff member at a sunglasses shop in order to steal some sunglasses.
Between the hours of 5.15pm and 5.30pm on 10th of May, 2011, two males and a female walked into Sunglasses Hut at Harbour Town located on Wellington Street, Perth. Entering the store close to closing time, one of the males attempted to distract the store manager while the second male placed a pair of sunglasses into a red bag and went to exit the store. The store manager aware of what was about to take place grabbed hold of one of the males, who retaliated by punching the manager several times. The man’s accomplice approached the manager demanding he let him go. Fearing for his safety the manager allowed the trio to leave the store.
Police have released CCTV images of two males and a female who they believe can assist with their inquiries.
The first male is described as:
- Early to mid 20’s
- Dark skinned
- 185 cm tall
- Short dark hair of slim build
- Wearing black mirrored sunglasses, a dark shirt and blue jeans.
The second male is described as
- Early to mid 20’s
- Fair complexion
- Dark short hair
- Wearing a white jacket with blue lapels and white baseball cap.
The female is described as:
- Slim build
- Dark hair pulled back into a ponytail
- Wearing white shorts and a blue long sleeved top
- Carrying a dark bag.
