A man was viciously assaulted at South Beach in South Fremantle whilst having a few drinks with his girlfriend recently.

At about 9.45pm on Monday the 21st of January 2013, a man and his girlfriend were invited to share drinks with another group who were nearby, on South Beach situated on Ocean Drive, South Fremantle.
The victim had a minor argument with his girlfriend, and two males from the group took it upon themselves to become involved, knocking the victim to the ground, kicking and stomping him, rendering him unconscious briefly.

Both males possibly work at The Esplanade Ferris Wheel in Fremantle, as ‘Carnies’.

Police are appealing for assistance from the public in identifying those involved.

The first male is described as:

  • Possibly of New Zealand origin
  • About 195cm
  • Large build
  • Brown hair
  • Crazy clown tattoo on the outside of his left forearm
  • A tattoo of the word ‘Carnie’ underneath his left forearm
  • Numerous tattoos on his right arm, not quite forming a full sleeve

The second male is described as:

  • Tanned complexion
  • About 150cm
  • Solid build
