In a disturbing incident a young man was threatened with a shotgun to hand over his wallet to his attacker.

Between 5.25pm and 5.30pm on 8th of January, 2012, the man was loading items into the back of his car outside an address on Tolladine Vista, The Vines. Whilst loading, a car pulled up along side him with the male driver yelling out to him a couple of times. Turned around the man saw the driver of the vehicle standing outside his car holding a sawn off shotgun down by his side.  The robber demanded several times for the man to hand over his wallet, to which he replied he didn’t have one on him. The male threatened to shoot him and continued his demands until he finally gave up but not before transferred the firearm over to the other hand so he could punch the male in the jaw. The male took off in his car and a part registration number was obtained. It is believed the same male could have been involved in a firearm incident earlier that same week.

Police have released a composite image of a male who they believe is responsible for this chilling attack.

The male is described as:

  • 19 – 23 years
  • 175 cm
  • Light brown complexion
  • Short curly black hair
  • Medium build
  • Hazel eyes
  • Thin moustache and beard
  • Wearing a dark plain t-shirt and ¾ length beige shorts.
