A registered nurse working as a carer for an eighty seven year old woman was lucky to escape harm after she disturbed two intruders inside the elderly woman’s Mount Lawley home.
Around 2.40pm on Friday the 30th of March 2012, the nurse returned to the North Street home to find a suitcase in the rear patio triggering her to investigate further. Upon searching the perimeter of the home, the woman discovered broken glass on the ground and a strange male loitering inside. Realising he had been caught in the act, the male called out to his accomplice who could be seen moving around the home through the rear glass door. To prevent them from leaving the carer quickly shut the door, but in a desperate attempt to escape the duo pushed past her and ran off down the driveway.
Detectives have released a composite image of one of the males in the hope that someone may be able to identify him.
The male is described as:
- Fair freckled complexion
- 28 – 29 years
- Approximately 168cm
- Slim to medium build
- Wearing a fluoro yellow high visibility shirt.
