The importance of technology and education didn’t enter the mind of a burglar who broke into a classroom at the Pioneer World Primary School, on Albany Highway, in Armadale, and stole a laptop.

Around 5.38am on Tuesday the 10th of March 2012, a male scaled the locked perimeter fence at the rear of the school and entered the year four classroom in view of CCTV cameras.  

Inside, he didn’t think twice about snatching a laptop used by staff and students before quickly fleeing the scene to avoid capture, activating the classroom alarm in the process.   

Police are eager to talk to the male pictured in the hope that he can assist with inquiries into the theft. 

The male is described as: 

  • Fair complexion
  • 25 – 35 years
  • Medium build
  • Wearing a white button up collared shirt, and dark coloured ¾ length shorts with a white pin stripe.
  • Carrying a white back pack with black trim.
