Jewellery, cash and gold were stolen from a house in Victoria Park.

Kensington Detectives Office are investigating a burglary matter which occurred over the Easter long weekend between Friday 3rd of April and Monday 6th of April 2015 in Victoria Park.

During this time, entry was gained into a residential premises by smashing a window. Once inside the house, a quantity of Jewellery to the value of $20,000 and cash totalling $8,000 were stolen.

During the course of rummaging through the house, approximately 30 ounces of gold in various sized nuggets with the majority weighing in between half a gram and a gram, were also stolen. More notably, an 18.76 ounce gold nugget was amongst the gold stolen.

Detectives are asking for the help of persons involved in and have knowledge of  prospecting to report any suspicion that someone they might know who has come into a substantial amount of god nuggets recently which is not from detecting. Detectives are especially interested in anyone trying to swap or sell an 18 ounce nugget through unconventional methods.
