Diligent customers at a Wembley chemist may have thwarted a robbery after alerting staff to a male in the store carrying a firearm.

At around 6.00pm on Saturday the 10th of December, 2011, the customers were in the Chemist on Cambridge Street, Wembley, when they noticed a male walk into the store with a firearm in the waste band of his pants. They immediately alerted store staff who in turn called Police. Fortunately the male may have got cold feet and left the store thankfully without incident before Police arrived.  The firearm was described as being similar to a Glock.

Police have released a CCTV image of a male person who they believe can assist with their inquiries.

The male is described as:

  • Aged late 20’s to 30’s
  • Fair complexion
  • Medium to stocky build
  • Short dark hair
  • Moustache
  • Wearing a green collared shirt, short and thongs
  • Carrying what appears to be a firearm in his hands.
