An argument stemming from a Claremont nightclub confrontation ended in a 28 year old male being knocked unconscious on the side of St Quentins Avenue in Claremont. 
 
The victim was at a nightclub with friends on the morning of Sunday the 8th of May, 2011 when a verbal altercation occurred with another male patron which resulted in his eviction. Shortly afterwards the victim was at Hungry Jacks when the evicted patron approached him and continued the altercation.   
 
The victim left the fast food outlet and was walking along St Quentin Avenue when a third dispute occurred with the same male and two of his friends who surrounded the victim  with one of the males punching the victim to the jaw knocking him unconscious. 
 
The victim was conveyed by ambulance and awoke in hospital to find lacerations arms and legs and swelling to his head. 
 
Detectives have released an image of a male that may be able to assist with inquiries.
 
The male is described as: 
·         Fair complexion
·         Aged in his early 20’s
·         Approximately 170cm
·         Medium build
·         Short spiky brown hair
·         Wearing a white collared shirt and tie.
