Snap – seconds is all it took to take a photo of a male caught red handed removing a surveillance camera from a commercial business on the Albany Highway in Bentley.

Sometime between the months of June and August, 2011, a security camera was stolen from the external wall at the rear of the premises.

Police believe the culprits dragged a bin over just below the roof line and launched themselves onto it before climbing onto a table to gain access to the surveillance camera.

There not so clever actions were recorded on video footage for all to see.

Police have released an image of a male person who may help with inquiries into the offence.

The male is described as:

  • Fair complexion
  • Medium build
  • Wearing a chequered pattered hoodie and dark beanie.
