Two males stole several bottles of alcohol during a quick snatch and grab in Claremont recently.
At around 7.30pm on Wednesday the 6th of July, 2011, two male entered the BWS Claremont liquor store on Bay View Terrace, Claremont. Both purchased a small item but lingered in the store for a while before they left. About half an hour later the two males ran back into the store. The first male grabbed as many bottles as he could carry and ran out whilst his friend took his time and casually placed numerous bottles of alcohol into an orange shopping bag in full view of other customers. When he was confronted by a staff member, the male calmly walked out of the store and rejoined his friend before they took off together. Between them, the two males stole $500 worth of Jack Daniels spirits.
Police have released images of two males who they believe can assist with their inquiries.
The first male is described as:
· 18-19 years
· 172cm
· Fair complexion
· Short brown hair
· Wearing a blue jacket over a striped t-shirt.
The second male is described as:
· 18-19 years
· 180cm
· Fair complexion
· Short black hair
· Wearing a black jacket with white lapels over a red t-shirt.
