At approximately 3.25pm on Friday 12 August 2016, a man was seen leaving through the front gate of a house in Claremont, in possession of a stolen bicycle. The man was confronted by the owner of the bicycle and he dropped the bike and ran in the direction of Loch Street Train Station.
A short time later the man was seen at the train station again by the victim. The man produced a screwdriver and pointed it at the victim before getting onto a train heading towards the city.
Police have released an image of a man who they believe can assist them with their inquiries.
The man is described as:
- Dark skinned
- 30-40 years of age
- Medium build
- Short dark hair
- Wearing a large jacket and reflective sunglasses
- Carrying bags and a sleeping bag.
