Police suspect a series of bicycle thefts from suburban train stations may be the work of one male caught on CCTV camera’s recently.
With the most recent theft occurring sometime over the weekend of the 18th of January 2012, where the culprit entered a secure bike compound and removed a red and black Orbea racing bike valued over $1000.
A review of CCTV footage shows a well-dressed male with a distinctive pony tail in close vicinity at the time of the theft.
Police believe numerous other bicycle thefts may be linked.
The male is described as:
- Aged in his thirties – possibly early forties
- Dark complexion
- Long black hair tied in pony tail or bun
- Slim build
- 175 -180cm
- Wearing a white t-shirt or white shirt.
