Burglary
A proof of age request provided the momentary distraction needed for two males who bolted out the doors of Liquorland in Beldon without paying for their purchase.
Around 4.00pm on Monday the 9th of May 2011, the pair entered the Liquorland store within the Belridge Shopping Centre, selected two bottles of Bundaberg rum from the shelves and approached the counter for payment.
When the attendant requested identification for proof of age, the duo failed to produce any, avoiding payment by dashing from the store with the bottles in hand.
The pair were last seen getting into a white Hyundi Excel –part registration 1DLK which investigators are hoping will lead to their identification.
Police have released an image of two males who may be able to assist with the inquiry.
One of the males is described as:
· Fair complexion
· 18 – 25 years Medium build
· Wearing a striped t-shirt and blue shorts.
If you know the identity of either of these males, or have information about this offence, make a report online or call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, where all calls are strictly confidential, and rewards are offered. Please quote Reference Number 5622.
