At about 8:55pm on Wednesday 14 September 2016, the victim has walked from the Kinross Central Shopping Centre into the carpark and got into his vehicle.  The vehicle was parked on the west side of the carpark towards Connelly Drive.  The victim remained inside his vehicle for a couple of minutes before being approached by a man.

The man approached the driver’s side window which was up, holding a tyre lever and demanding money from the victim.  The man was told to go away, however he raised the tyre lever and smashed the driver’s side window causing glass to shatter over the victim. The man used the tyre iron to strike at the victim a number of times, causing injuries to his head and arm.

The man again demanded money and the victim attempted to start his vehicle.  The man reached in to take the vehicle keys out of the ignition but was unsuccessful, before grabbing a bag from the victim and running away in a westerly direction towards Connelly Drive.
