At approximately 9.40pm on Friday 18 March 2016, a man entered a service station on Orrong Road in Kewdale.
The man walked up to the attendant and produced a knife and a plastic bag, demanding the attendant fill the bag with money.
The attended complied with his request and handed the bag back to the man. The man was walking out, saw a sunglasses stand and chose a pair of sunglasses, then walked out and away from the store.
Police have released a CCTV image of a man who they believe can assist them with their inquiries.
The man is described as:
- Tan skinned
- 35 to 40 years of age
- Thin/medium build
- 180-185cm tall
- Short dark hair
- Wearing a blue polo shirt, dark coloured shorts
- Carrying a backpack
