A suspicious fire at the Kaza Blanca Grill Restaurant in Fremantle which left behind damage costs in the vicinity of $30.000 has Arson Squad Detectives calling for witnesses.   

Around 5.03am on Thursday the 16th of February 2012, FESA were called to the South Terrace restaurant after a fire confined to the “Paddy Troy Mall” damaged the restaurant’s structure and contents.  

The walkway, jointly owned by adjoining businesses, is a secure area off limits to members of the public after hours.  A review of CCTV footage shows an unknown male enter the walkway around the time the fire began.   

Detectives have released an image of the male in the hope that he can shed some light on the matter. 

The male is described as: 

  • Fair complexion
  • Aged between mid teens to mid twenties
  • Slim to Medium build
  • Wearing a dark hooded jumper, black tracksuit pants and white sneakers.
