A bus driver was spat on by an irate passenger in Rivervale.
About 10:30pm on Saturday the 3rd of January 2014, a male person attempted to get off a bus at Kooyong Road near Great Eastern Highway.
The doors malfunctioned and the male almost became stuck in the doors. The male became angry and approached the bus driver. He began abusing the bus driver when other passengers on the bus came to the assistance of the bus driver.
The male continued abusing the bus driver and passengers. He has then spat at the bus driver before leaving the bus.
Police have released a CCTV image of a male who they believe can assist them with their inquiries.
The male is described as:
- Approximately 30 years of age
- Approximately 170-180cm tall
- Medium build
- Shaved head.
- Wearing a black shirt, black shorts and white shoes. Carrying a black backpack.
