At about 2.00 pm on Wednesday 30 March 2016 the accused and the offender became involved in an altercation at a shopping complex on Albany Highway in Gosnells. The woman took hold of a broom and struck the victim, resulting in a serious head injury. Police have released a CCTV image of a woman who they believe can assist them with their inquiries. The woman is described as:
- Dark skinned
- 30-40 years of age
- Approximately 160cm tall
- Thin build
- Dark hair
- Wearing a black singlet and black shorts.
