Police are calling for witnesses to a stealing and assault incident that occurred just after 11am on Tuesday 4 August 2015.  A man ran out of the Liquor Barons store, situated at Lesmurdie Village Shopping Centre, in possession of several bottles and cans of alcohol which were stolen.

The 60 year old male employee of Liquor Barons chased after the man through the shopping centre and into the car park where he was tackled to ground.  There was a scuffle between the two during which time some of the stolen alcohol fell to the ground and smashed.  The employee was assisted by several members of the public, who ran to help him.

Police arrived a short time later and took a 27 year old man into custody. He was later charged with a range of offences.
