On Wednesday 15 July 2015 at approximately 3.15pm, a 66 year old woman was walking with her husband in Portcullis Park in Willetton. A large dog approached and harassed a mother and children playing in the park. The woman and her husband approached the owners of the dog who were walking nearby and asked them to restrain their dog.
The female owner became angry and began shouting at the woman and then slapped her to the face, grabbing the woman’s clothing. The woman’s husband separated.
The 66 year old woman received facial injuries as a result of the assault.
Police have released a CCTV image of a female who they believe can assist them with their inquiries.
The female is described as:
- Medium build
- Dark shoulder length hair
- Glasses
- Wearing a black top with a light coloured jumper around her waist and black pants.
