At approximately 9am on Wednesday 18 November 2015, a man boarded a route 98 bus on South Street in Hilton.  The man walked past the driver without showing a valid ticket or paying any money and sat down towards the back of the bus.

The bus driver told the man to leave the bus and opened the doors.  The man refused to get off the bus and walked up to the driver spitting at him before getting off through the front doors.  The driver quickly closed the doors and began driving.

The man picked up a rock from the ground and threw it at the bus, hitting the front bumper close to the window. The man ran to a pile of rubbish on a verge awaiting pickup from a hard waste collection and picked up a white pole and threw it at the bus as it went past him.

Police have released a CCTV image of a man who they believe can assist them with their inquiries.

The man is described as:

  • Tan skinned
  • 20-30 years of age
  • 160-170cm tall
  • Thin build
  • Wearing a black t-shirt with white motif, black shorts and grey sneakers and a white America eagle baseball cap.
