On Saturday 8 August 2015 at approximately 12.15pm, a man entered The Park Centre and was verbally abusive to the male victim who was sitting on a bench outside a supermarket with his partner.
The man entered the supermarket and was abusive towards staff and other customers whilst in the store. After shopping he again became abusive towards the victim.
The victim approached the man and a short verbal argument ensued. The man has then assaulted the victim by punching him and causing him to fall to the ground. The man then stomped on him numerous times before leaving the shopping centre.
Police have released CCTV image of a man who they believe can assist them with their inquiries.
- Light skinned
- Approximately 25 years of age
- Approximately 180cm tall
- Solid build
- Clean shaven
- Brown curly hair, shaved and longer at the back (mullet) with blonde streaks through.
- Wearing a black long sleeve top, black shorts and black shoes.
- Distinctive tattoo on his lower right leg.
