Detectives are looking for the driver of a red utility who uttered indecent remarks and made sexual advances to two eight year old girls playing at a local kids hangout in Byford.
Around 3.45pm on Thursday the 29th of September 2011, the young girls were playing on a sand hill boarded by bushland in the vicinity of Portwine Avenue and Larsen Road when the male approached the pair and attempted to lure them into carrying out sexual favours.
Frightened by the males suggestions and lewd conduct the girls ran from the area towards Portwine Avenue where they saw two older girls that attend the same school, and told them what had happened. They reported the matter to a neighbour who attended the area along with the girls in search of the male. Upon returning they climbed the hill where they noticed a red duel cab ute with silver wheel arches parked in the vicinity of Larsen Road. While observing the vehicle they heard a noise coming from the bushes and turned to see a male come out from behind them, triggering the group to run home.
Detectives have released a composite image of a vehicle of a similar description in the hope that someone may have seen it in or around Portwine Avenue or Larsen Road on Thursday the 29th of September around 3.45pm.
The vehicle was reported as being a:
- Red
- Dual cab ute
- Possible Roll bar
- Possible Bull bar
