Detectives are eager to speak to anybody who may be able to assist in the identity of a middle aged man who attempted to force a young woman into his vehicle in Seville Grove.

Around 9.00am on Tuesday the 7th of June 2011, the 22 year old victim was returning home from the local shops along Challis Road when the driver of a grey coloured vehicle, believed to be a Toyota Hilux, pulled alongside the victim and requested her to get into his car. Frozen with fear the victim declined the offer, triggering the male to get out of the vehicle and violently grab her by the arm which she quickly resisted, pulling away from him and grazing her arm as she fell to the ground.

Fortunately, during the attack the male was disturbed by a passing motorist believed to be the driver of a white Holden Commodore sedan which caused him to flee the area.

Detectives have released an image of the attacker in the hope that someone may be able to identify him.

The male is described as:
  • Fair complexion
  • 55 – 60 years
  • Slim build
  • Dark brown greying hair
  • Worn wrinkled skin
  • Approximately 165cml
  • Wearing black sunglasses, a light coloured long sleeved shirt and dark pants.
The male was driving a grey coloured vehicle, possibly a Toyota Hilux, with a rear canopy.
