At approximately 2.30pm on Monday 19 September 2016, a woman was stopped at the intersection of Gillon Street and Manning Road, Karawara in a gold coloured Toyota Camry.
A man was seen walking west along Manning Road towards where she was stationary. The man walked across the road then subsequently in front of her vehicle.
As he approached her driver’s side door he produced a knife and shouted “get out of the car, open the door.” He has shouted this two or three times.
The woman held down her horn for ten second intervals until the man ran away back along Manning Road towards the Waterford Plaza Shopping Centre.
The man is described as:
- Tan skinned
- 20-30 years of age
- Thin build
- 175cm
- Wearing long camouflage pants and a red coloured top.
