At about 1:30pm on Saturday 13 August 2016 an Attempted Robbery occurred in the underpass opposite Kinross shopping centre on Connolly Drive in Kinross.

A 29 year old man was approached by another man who stopped him as he walked in the underpass and spoke to him.  The victim is deaf and communicates through sign language only and as such he could not understand what the man was saying.

The man produced a knife holding it up to the victim and began thrusting the knife at him. The victim was stabbed once to the abdomen, causing a minor laceration.  The victim deflected three further attempts to stab him using a skateboard he was carrying.

The man was last seen running out of the Western side of the underpass leading to Stow Lane in the direction of Fenwick Mews, Kinross.

The victim required minor medical treatment for his injury.

The man is described as:

  • Light skinned
  • 25-30 years old
  • Approximately 170cm tall
  • Thin build
  • Blue eyes
  • Wearing a black Adidas hoodie with hood pulled up and a skull mask covering the bottom part of his face, black tracksuit pants with white stripes down the side, black and white Nike trainers.
