At approximately 2.30pm on Wednesday 11 January 2017, a man entered a business premises on Karrinyup Road Karrinyup.

The man stood at the counter while staff members were busy serving other customers.  A staff member heard what sounded like coins falling to the floor.  The staff member looked and saw a man standing where the staff tip jar was meant to be on the bench.  Due to the tip jar being secured by a chain to the counter, the man had tried to take the jar but was unable to remove it, resulting in the tin and money falling to the ground. The man walked out of the store immediately.

The man is described as:  Light skinned, 30-40 years of age, approximately 185cm tall, solid build, shaved head, wearing a blue T-shirt, fawn coloured shorts, dark socks and white runners.  Carrying a backpack over his left shoulder.
