A Ferrari left at the scene of the crime is not the usual for Detectives investigating a burglary at a luxury property in Applecross.
Between 5.30pm and 6.00pm on Thursday the 26th of April, 2012, the unknown offender attended at a property in The Strand, Applecross. It is not known how the offender broke into the home, however, it is known how the offender left. A Ferrari sedan parked in the garage was overlooked for a Subaru Impreza as the offender’s car of choice. Thankfully, the home was equipped with CCTV surveillance cameras which managed to capture the car bandit before he hightailed away.
The Subaru Impreza sedan is a 2011 model, grey in colour with a registration number of 1DQN281. The car is valued at around $27,000.00
Police have released CCTV images of a male who they believe can assist with their inquiries.
The male is described as:
- Caucasian
- Aged mid 20’s
- 180cm
- Medium build
- Dark hair
- Small goatee/beard
- Large tattoo on upper left arm
- Wearing grey shoes with red laces, dark shorts and a black baseball cap
- Carrying a dark coloured shirt in his hand.
