At approximately 7.15pm on Thursday 23 February 2017, a lone staff member was working in a shop at a shopping centre in Thornlie.
Two women entered the store and waited for the staff member to be distracted by another customer before entering a rear office area. Inside the office was a handbag which the two women looked through, taking a wallet and a mobile phone before walking out of the store.
The first woman is described as: Dark skinned, 30-35 years of age, solid build, wearing black, red and white top and ¾ pants.
The second woman is described as: Dark skinned, 30-35 years of age, thin build, wearing a hat, dark T-shirt and light blue long pants. Carrying a large dark coloured bag over her left shoulder.
