At approximately 8.30am on Wednesday 13 January 2016 a man boarded a Perth bound train from Burswood to Claisebrook train station. During the journey he used an unknown item to scratch one door window. The man got off the train at Claisebrook train station and used the same implement to scratch a SmartRider scanner.

At approximately 8.50am the same man boarded a Midland bound train. During the journey he used an unknown implement to scratch two windows. At about 8.55am he got off the train at Maylands train station where he scratched the side of an advertising bill board on the platform. He was last seen walking towards Eighth Ave, Maylands.

The damage caused has amounted to thousands of dollars.

Police have released a CCTV image of a man who they believe can assist them with their inquiries.

The man is described as:

  • Light skinned
  • 170-180cm tall
  • Thin-Medium build
  • Short light coloured balding hair
  • Wearing a black tracksuit which has white stripes down the side. He was also carrying a distinctive draw string style bag with the words ‘Corona Extra. Noosa ’06. It’s all good’ printed on it.
