At approximately 3:40pm on Saturday 10 October 2015, a man was on board Transperth Bus route 254. As the bus was travelling along Mary Street near Clifton Street in Byford, the man rang the bell indicating for the driver to stop.  As the man did this, he fell over and verbally abused the driver, threatening to fight him.  The doors were opened and the man exited the bus.

As the bus departed, the man picked up a rock and threw it at the rear door breaking the glass panel.

Police have released a CCTV image of a man who they believe can assist them with their inquiries.

The man is described as:

  • Light skinned
  • 25-35 years of age
  • Medium build
  • Dark brown short hair

Wearing a black singlet with pattern on the front, blue jeans, black and fluorescent yellow runners, sunglasses and carrying a grey plastic bag.
