A lady whose wallet was stolen from a draw at her work place received a further blow when her stolen credit card was used by two females to go on a pre Christmas spending spree.

Between 4.50pm and 5.00pm on Tuesday the 20th of December, 2011, the lady’s wallet was removed from the kiosk draw at her workplace located within a shopping centre on Bay View Terrace, Claremont.  Initially the lady wasn’t aware that her card was stolen, but unfortunately by the time she realised the damage had been done. Two females had used the card during a 40 minute period to rack up a debt of more than $2000. The pair worked in unison to make purchases at an electronics games store for over $900, groceries at two supermarkets worth $348 and $794 to name a few of their transactions in Floreat, Cottesloe and Fremantle. They also stole over 30 perfumes from a chemist during their frenzied spree. The pair were seen commuting in a white Mitsubishi Mirage.

Police have released CCTV images of two females who they believe can assist with their inquiries.

The first female is described as:

  • Solid build
  • Fair complexion
  • Blonde possibly reddish long straigh hair pulled back inot a ponytail
  • Wearing a white top with black pants and slip on shoes, whiet sunglasses on top of her head.

The second female is described as:

  • Slim build
  • Dark complexion
  • Long dark straigh hair
  • Wearing a white t-shirt with dark pants.
