Between 5.30 and 7.30pm on Tuesday 17 January 2017, a vehicle was broken into whilst parked at Lilac Hill Park in Guildford.

A wallet was stolen from within the car which contained a number of items including a credit card.

At approximately 7.30pm a man attended a supermarket in Beechboro and used the credit card fraudulently to purchase cigarettes and credit for a mobile phone.  The card was also used at several other locations in the Beechboro and Bassendean areas.

At approximately 3pm on Friday 20 January 2017, the credit card was located with other items belonging to the victim, in Malaga.

Police have released a CCTV image of a man who they believe can assist them with their enquiries.

The man is described as:

  • Dark skinned
  • 18-25 years of age
  • Medium build
  • Wearing a baseball cap and white T-shirt.
