An opportunistic woman took advantage after being offered a lift by a motorist.

On Thursday 22 September 2015, at approximately 10am, a car was broken down on Dunreath Drive near Perth Airport.  The woman stated to a passing motorist that her car had broken down and asked to be driven to an address in Belmont to get some jumper leads.  The woman was driven to an address in Belmont, a short time later, the motorist realised her wallet was missing.

The woman had not only stolen the wallet from the car containing a credit card, but then conducted several frauds utilising the card around the Belmont area.

Police have released a CCTV image of a woman who they believe can assist them with their inquiries.

The woman is described as:

  • Dark skinned
  • Slim build
  • 165-175 cm tall
  • Dark hair tied up at back
  • Wearing a pink long sleeve top, white singlet underneath, black baggy pants.
