A male may have let his bad habit get the better of him recently when he used a stolen credit card to purchase over $200 worth of cigarettes.

At around 7.00am on Wednesday the 2nd of November, 2011, the owner of the stolen credit card had parked his car in Wellington Street, Perth, when an unknown person entered his car and removed both a debit and credit card. Unbeknownst to him whilst he was busy on a building site his card was used by a male to purchase $240 worth of cigarettes from a Coles Supermarket in Monument Street, Mosman Park.   The male then attended IGA in Mosman Park and this time used the debit card to purchase $21 worth of cigarettes. It wasn’t until the owner of the cards was contacted by his bank later that night that he became aware of the fraudulent use of his cards.
