Police need your help to identify a man who brazenly walked into a bank and fraudulently withdrew $3,000 cash by signing a false signature.

It only took minutes for a man to realise his wallet had been stolen to discovering someone had taken out $3000 from his account. Unfortunately the man’s wallet was stolen on Tuesday the 21st February, 2012, from his car parked at his work address on Naturaliste Terrace, Dunsborough. A short time later at 11.06am a male walked into a bank on Dunn Bay Road, Dunsborough where he presented a cash card to the teller and managed to withdraw $3000 cash by signing a false signature. The male left but not before being caught on CCTV. It is believed the male could be travelling through the area.  

Police have released a CCTV image of a male who they believe can assist with their inquiries.

The male is described as:

  • 30 – 40 years
  • Slim build
  • Fair complexion
  • Blonde hair
  • Goatee beard
  • Wearing a white cap with an orange peek and a white top with a dark coloured vest
  • Wearing glasses
