Emergency Department staff at Fremantle Hospital displayed a keen eye for detail after “would be fraudsters” attempted to obtain medication on presentation of a forged document alleged to have come from a suburban medical practice.

Around 11.30am on saturday the 24th of March 2012, two women attended the Alma Street Fremantle Hospital Emergency Department and handed a computerised document to one of the attending doctors to facilitate a script for Oxycodone and Naproyen.

Suspecting the document was a bogus request, the doctor made inquiries with the medical practice in question and was soon informed that the letter was in fact a forged document.
Hospital security were quickly alerted, causing the two women to leave the hospital empty handed.

Police have released an image of two females who may be able to assist with inquiries into the matter.

  • Light brown hair
  • Aged in her mid 30’s

The second female is described as:

  • Fair complexion
  • Aged in her late 30’s

  • Medium build
