At about 12:00pm on Sunday 28 August 2016, a man has had his wallet stolen while he was inside a shopping centre in Hillarys.  The wallet contained credit cards and other personal papers.

A short time later, a man used the stolen cards at numerous stores inside the same shopping centre to purchase alcohol, electrical equipment and groceries.  The cards were also used in the Padbury area to purchase other items.

Police have released a CCTV image of a man who they believe can assist them with their inquiries.

The man is described as:

  • 30-40 years of age
  • Medium build
  • Approximately 170cm-180cm tall
  • Balding with short dark hair
  • Wearing an “army green” jacket, black t-shirt with white writing on the front, blue denim jeans and black shoes.
  • Also wearing a large silver chain around his neck with a pendant.
