Between Thursday 18 August and Monday 22 August 2016, a credit card was stolen from a letterbox in Scarborough.

On Monday 22 August 2016, at approximately 2.30am, a man attended a service station in Osborne Park and used the stolen credit card twice to purchase items before leaving the store.

The same man attended another service station in Innaloo at approximately 4.30am, where the stolen credit card was used again to purchase items.  A short time later two further transactions were attempted with the same card at a nearby fast food restaurant, however they were declined.

Police have released a CCTV image of a man who they believe can assist them with their inquiries.

The man is described as:

  • Light skinned
  • 25-35 years of age
  • Medium build
  • Beard and moustache
  • Wearing dark clothes and a grey coloured beanie
