At about 5pm on Thursday 2 February 2017, a woman was shopping at a supermarket in Karrinyup.
The woman left her purse inside her handbag on the seat in the shopping trolley she was pushing. An opportunistic woman saw the purse and while the shopper was distracted for a short time, stole the purse.
Within an hour, the woman had used the credit card from inside the purse to fraudulently purchase items in the Karrinyup area.
The woman is described as:
- 25-35 years of age
- Thin/Medium build
- Dark shoulder length hair tied back
- Wearing a brown short dress and sandals. Carrying a brown handbag over her left shoulder.
Police have released a CCTV image of a woman who they believe can assist them with their enquiries.
