Whilst most people are generally sleeping, one lady was out spending up big during the small hours of the morning using a stolen credit card.
At some stage after 7.00pm on Wednesday the 18th October, 2011, the owner of a vehicle parked in Harlequin Pass, Southern River had her car broken into. The unknown offender/s rummaged through the vehicle and stole items from the boot which included baby gear, a Canon camera worth $400 and her handbag and purse.
Between 4.15am and 6.15am the following morning being the 19th October, 2011, a female used the card at 12 service stations and a newsagency across the Kelmscott and Cannington area to purchase cigarettes and other items to the value of $2900.00 within a 2 hour period.
The female was seen leaving a service station on one occasion in a small burgundy 3 door hatch, possibly a Ford Festiva or Hyundai Excel.
Police have released a CCTV image of a female who they believe can assist with inquiries.
The female is described as:
- 30 to 40 years
- Tall
- Slim build
- Fair complexion
- Long straight brown hair with blonde ends
- Wearing a full length black jacket with white pants.
