On Friday the 26 June 2015, at about 10:30am a woman went to Iluka Beach to sun bathe.
She walked in a southerly direction along the beach before finding a spot that was slightly elevated on the dunes, towards the back of the coast line.
The woman shut her eyes and fell asleep. When she woke up she noticed a man that was sitting about 5 meters to her left. The man moved several times and ended up sitting next to the woman.
The man spoke to the woman who introduced himself as ‘Jake’. As the man spoke to the woman, he committed an indecent act. The woman immediately left and saw the man running down the beach in a southerly direction.
Police have released a composite image of a male who they believe can assist them with their investigation.
The man is described as:
- Tan skinned
- 30-40 years of age
- Brown very curly shoulder length hair
- Blue eyes.
- Beard and moustache.
- Wearing black baggy tracksuit jacket and pants
