On Tuesday 9 August 2016, at about 12:30pm, the victim was walking in an easterly direction on the footpath on Alabaster Road talking on her mobile phone.

A man approached the woman from behind and grabbed her handbag which she was carrying over her left shoulder.  The victim has struggled with the man in an attempt to hold on to her handbag, however during struggle she has fallen to the ground.

As a result of falling to the ground the victims mobile phone and glasses smashed on the ground as well as cutting her hand.

The man ran off with the handbag and into Michigan Heights, where he got into a vehicle which was waiting nearby and was driven off at speed.

The vehicle is described as a grey coloured Ford utility with a hard top, was last seen on Alabaster Road.
