At approximately 8.45pm on Saturday 26 March 2016, a man entered a store on Vincent Street Leederville.  A woman who was with the man remained outside.  The man selected a chocolate bar and placed the item down his pants, then was approached by a security officer as he left the store. The security officer spoke to the man, however the man suddenly started punching the security officer to the head several times.  A customer attempted to grab the man however was pushed away by the man.  Several staff members tried to restrain the man, however the man lashed out trying to hit anyone around him.  The woman who was waiting outside, entered the store and assaulted the security officer. The man and woman walked towards the exit of the store and on the way out the man repeatedly hit the glass door causing it to shatter. Police have released CCTV images of a man and woman who they believe can assist them with their inquiries. The man is described as:

  • Light skinned
  • 18-20 years of age
  • Medium build
  • Wearing a dark coloured hooded top, dark long pants and black shoes.

The woman is described as:

  • Light skinned
  • 20-30 years of age
  • Large build
  • Blonde coloured hair tied back

Wearing a dark coloured coat over a purple top, light coloured tracksuit pants and pink runners.
