At approximately 5.55am on Thursday 17 March 2016, a 15 year old boy was waiting near the intersection of Beechboro Road North and Walter Road East in Morley, to catch a bus to go to school.

 

He was waiting at the bus stop holding his mobile phone in his hand and had a backpack over his shoulder.  The boy saw a white Mitsubishi sedan drove into a nearby car park.

A man got out of the car and approached the boy asking for the phone and tried to grab it.  The boy held on to the phone and put it in his pocket. The man punched the boy to the head several times and the boy’s backpack was stolen.

A second man got out of the car and stole the boy’s backpack.  Both of the men then left by getting back into the car and driving off.

The first man is described as:

  • Dark skinned
  • 17 – 18 years old
  • Dark collar length hair
  • Medium build
  • Wearing a black “Raiders” t-shirt with white writing on it, rolled up black chino pants, red and black “Nike” runners.

The second man is described as:

  • Tan skinned
  • 20-22 years of age
  • Approximately 180-185cm tall
  • Medium build
