Kensington Detectives are currently investigating a sex assault that took place on a bus in Belmont.
A woman was on the route 935 Bus that was headed to Belmont. During the journey, at approximately 9.10pm, a man got onto the bus and sat on a seat alongside the woman with the aisle between them.
At about 9.20pm the man stood up, made an offensive comment towards the woman, approached and indecently assaulted her.
The bus driver realised that something had happened, so he immediately stopped the bus and told the man to leave. The man was last seen walking on Alexander Road, Belmont. A short time later, the woman told the bus driver what had happened.
Police have released CCTV images of a man who they believe can assist them with their enquiries.
