At approximately 2.30am on Thursday 2 February 2017, a man pulled up at a service station in Byford in a silver Holden sedan.

The man got out of the car and filled up the vehicle with Premium petrol, put the pump back on the bowser, got back in the vehicle and drove away without paying.

Enquiries have revealed a vehicle with the same plates was allegedly involved in an evade police incident in the Withers area on 8 January 2017.  The car was last seen travelling on Bussell Highway towards Capel.  The plates on the vehicle are false.

The man is described as:  Light skinned, 30-35 years of age, approximately 180cm tall, short brown curly hair wearing long pants with a belt.  Distinctive tattoos on his left forearm and writing across his back between shoulder blades.

Police have released CCTV images of a man who they believe can assist them with their enquiries.
