In August 2016, a vehicle with a registration of 1DWA336 was stolen as a result of a burglary in South Lake.  The vehicle was located burnt out in Southern River a few days later but without the plates attached.

On 16 January 2017 at about 1.30pm, a blue Holden sedan with the same registration plates pulled up at a service station in Byford.  A man got out of the car and filled the tank, then got back into the car and drove away.

Investigators believe that the same vehicle has been used in the commission of other offences.

The man is described as:

  • Light skinned
  • 27-35 years of age
  • Medium build
  • Wearing a baseball cap, ‘Everlast’ white singlet, dark coloured shots, white sports socks and runners.
  • Has distinctive tattoos on both arms and his chest.

Police have released CCTV images of a man who they believe can assist them with their enquiries.
