A couple cashed in on another lady’s misfortunately after she inadvertently left her credit card inside an ATM at Karrinyup.
At around 6.15 pm on Thursday the 26th of July, 2012, the lady used her credit card to withdraw cash at an ATM in Karrinyup Road, Karrinyup. About 15 minutes later when she attended the chemist to make a purchase she realised that she had accidentally left her card behind in the ATM. When she returned home to cancel the card she was informed the card had been fraudulently used a short time later. A review of CCTV showed a couple who decided to seize the opportunity to cash in on her misfortune and withdrew $500 cash from her account, after leaving her card behind in the machine.
Police have released CCTV images of a couple who they believe can assist with their inquiries.
The male is described as:
- Medium build
- Short hair
- Wearing a stripped t-shirt and dark jeans
The female is described as:
- Medium build
- Long hair pulled back
- Wearing jeans with a light coloured top and jacket over the top
- Carrying a handbag
