At approximately 12.30pm on Saturday 31 December 2016, a woman and her daughter were shopping at a shopping centre on Great Eastern Highway in Midland. The woman had placed her handbag in a shopping trolley by clipping it to the child restraint buckle.
While the women were distracted looking at some vegetables, another woman approached the trolley and unzipped the handbag, taking the woman’s purse before leaving the area.
Police have released CCTV images of a woman who they believe can assist them with their enquiries.
